Design POV
The driving goal of my chair design was my desire to make something I will use and treasure for years to come. I wanted to design a chair that will move with me from house to house, bringing with it my own personal design aesthetic and passion for creating.
Embrace/Abrace employs the woodworking technique of tambour to form a chair that wraps around the user, creating a space of comfort and engagement perfect for a reading nook or living room.

Results
I am incredibly proud of this chair and the work I put into it. I dove head first into learning woodworking and challenged myself to learn multiple woodworking processes and techniques. Over the course of 10 weeks, this chair grew from quick concept sketches into its beautiful final form.
